Mideum Chung, born in Seoul, South Korea, started playing the piano at the age of six. At age eleven, she had her orchestra debut, performing W.A.Mozart’s “Piano Concerto in A Major, k.488” with the Daejeon Youth Symphony Orchestra. She attended Daejeon Art High School at age 15. She also obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Piano Performance at Dongduk Women's University in Seoul, with Dr. Mijung Park and Dr. Noel McRobbie. While at Dongduk, Mideum won several scholarships and performed in the DDUP recital (a regular recital in her university) and Duo concert and Alumni concerts solo recital in 2017. he accompanied numerous vocal major's classes, competitions, choirs and opera. She won prizes in many competitions including Korea Musicians’ Union and Kongju National University concours. Mideum has participated in festivals including J&R Seorak Music Festival and France Malmaison Conservatory Festival, Ensemble TIMF. Currently, she is a student of Dr. Svetozar Ivanov at the University of South Florida, seeking a Master of Music Degree in Piano Performance. There, she holds an assistantship in accompanying.
