She studied at the 2017 Summer Music Performance Program at Anatolia College in Thessaloniki, Greece, competed in the Georgia State University 2017 Honors Recital competition, and performed in the Bent Frequency and Georgia State University residency of Pulitzer Prize-winning composer John Luther Adams in April of 2017. Kelene is the pianist of the Chiaro Trio, along with clarinetist Marcus Moore and saxophonist Joshua Heaney. Chiaro commissioned composer Marc Mellits to write an arrangement of his composition "Revolution," and commissioned composer Dylan Findley to write an arrangement of Debussy's "La Mer." The two arrangements were premiered at Chiaro's debut concert in October of 2017 at the Eyedrum Art Gallery in Atlanta. The trio placed first alternate in the Georgia Music Teachers' National Association Chamber Music Competition that same year. They will be giving a concert at Troy University in Alabama in March of 2018. Kelene has also commissioned an arrangement of Marc Mellits’s chamber piece “Tight Sweater," which was premiered in October of 2017 at Georgia State University's Kopleff Recital Hall. Kelene has also premiered the works of classmate and composer Nathan Bales, including his orchestra piece “Prologue by Rusticiano” at the 2016 Southeast Stonewall Music Festival.
